    First Time Kegging

I would have to dissagree on the serving at the same psi as carbing. Once the beer is fully carbed, you can adjust your serving psi to whatever pours best. I usually serve my beer between 8 and 10 psi. Your not gonna carb a saison at 18psi and serve it at 18 psi. Right?

Best place to buy a new brew pot?

check out Spike kettles. They are welded pots and for the price, I think it's the best deal around.

    Kettle Upgrade

I have a 20 gallon and 55 gallon Blichmann, they are good pots but for the money, I would recomend the spike kettles. I just bought a 45 gallon spike kettle and I was very happy with the quality. It's not as shiny as the Blichmanns but it has welded fittings. IMO much better than the weldless...

    Newb to Kegging?

A 5 lb. aluminum tank weighs 7 lbs. When full, it should weigh 12 lbs.

    Newb to Kegging?

If it is a dual guage regulator. The guage that reads tank volume is useless. I alway weigh the tank to see how much c02 is in it.

    Blichmann Mash/Tun stuck sparge

I have a 55g blichmann with a false bottom. The kettle valve all the way open and the pump valve about half way open. I have no problems. I do crush my own grains pretty fine, gap is set at .40. I would find out the gap setting at your lhbs.

    opinions on these kegs please

I have one kegco keg. It sucks! All the reviews are right. You waste beer, walls are very thin, and you can't stack them. I now use it for pushing pbw or sanitizer to clean other soda kegs.
