    kettle size

    I mostly brew 5 gal but may eventually do occasional 10 gal. Would a 15 gal brew kettle be too large for 5 gallon batches. Quick search didn't provide what I was looking for if you have link post away.

    ag recipe suggestions

    I'll be racking bee caves haus pale ale in a week and would like to use Nottingham yeast slurry for next brew. Can anyone suggest a recipe or styles that would work well with this yeast. Thanks

    After brewing up Bee Caves Haus Pale Ale I read notty yeast can give off some unwanted flavors if fermented too high. I aerated wort with pure o2 for 1 min pitched yeast dry at 70 f. After I put in swamp cooler cooling to 62 f until fermentation kicked off rising temp to 64. May have gone a...

    O2 question

    I'm doing 5 gal batch of Ed Worts House Pale Ale. This will b my first all grain and first time aerating with pure o2. Question is my regulator is adjustable .5, 1, 2 etc lpm and I have 2 micron stone(thought it was .5) any how at what setting and how long do I aerate. Thanks Paul

    what to expect

    I just finished my third brew a Irish Red Elmer kit with grains. My question is I put grains in @ 170 for 20 min. Directions called for 20 min between 155-146. I did a second 20 @ correct temp and then rinsed with 1 gallon of 170 water. This I did as full boil and hit my SG. What can I expect...

    Hefe question

    I'm on my second brew and its going to be a Hefe kit. Just wondering there are 2 3.3# jars LME with kit is there any benefit to adding one jar at boil then waiting till 30-15 and adding second jar? Also is a constant 68-70 ferm temp fine or do I need to try a little lower? Thanks Paul
