    My Rye Wine Experience

I like the idea! I may make this to fill up my 3 gallon keg when the 3 gallon batch of wheatwine I just brewed is gone. :fro:

    Slapped Wyeast Bag TOO HARD!

You're better off moving the packet to a corner in the bag, putting your palm over the packet, and then put your weight on it until it pops. It's much easier and saves you from having your situation happen again. :mug:

    Jester king , texas question.

There's a Central Market on Hulen St. about a 5 minute drive on I30 west from I35W when going through FW. My fiance gives me two minutes to pick out a beer when we go, otherwise I would never leave. :mug:

Wanna buy a wicked clean IBU?

I've heard the PrtScn button works well for taking pictures of your computer screen with your smart phone.:D

    Pumpkin ale... without pumpkin!

Pumpkin adds very little flavor, BUT, you can say you used pumpkin! The majority of the flavor comes from the spices, and I also believe you get some starch conversion from the pumpkin as well.

First all grain, how does this sound? - Irish Red

I think the general rule of thumb is that no more than 8-10% of your grain bill should consist of crystals, caras, special B, etc. I used this rule on my Irish Red and it came out fantastic. And if you're really shooting for that "red" color, use some CaraRed. ;)

There is a bug in my carboy....

I noticed a beetle floating in my primary fermenter once. Although I don't think he made it in during fermentation. I believe he made a home in some of my grain. Needless to say he had a nice steamy bath in my MLT. :mug:

    New Belgium Rampant

I got some peach as well, which I'm thinking comes from the Mosaic hops as I've heard others have experienced peach flavors with Mosaic hopped beers. I'm not a huge hophead, but overall I thought it was good. I'd buy it again if my local brew shop didn't have so many different beers to try. :mug:

    Margarita beer?

Go for it! Be creative! A friend and I will be brewing a mojito witbier sometime soon for summer. We decided just to brew the witbier and mess around with ingredient additions on the glass level so we don't f**k up a whole keg. Maybe start with a base beer that you think would do well with...

    Pretzel Beer?

A local brewery here in DFW that is less than a month old has one in the works. I'm looking forward to trying it. http://martinhousebrewing.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/MHBC-ThereWillBeStout-FINAL.jpg

    Who here doesnt hate BMC?

It's funny, my friends are usually surprised when I drink a Bud Light, or order a regular old Budweiser or Coors. What I usually tell them is that they all have their place and are very good representations of their styles. Plus, they make for a good beer by the pool on a hot Texas day (well...

    IPA, IIPA or Barleywine??

You're definitely out of the range for IPA and at this point you could call it either a Barleywine or an IIPA, but based off of your OG I'd say barleywine. OR if your beer finishes anything higher than 1.020 call it a barleywine, and anything lower an IIPA (or a Double IIPA since your OG is...

    The Fart Penalty- Home Edition

I had some kimchee fries the other day for lunch and ripped one that night. My fiance ranked it in the top 3 she's smelled drifting from my odiferous chasm of which lies the sphincter of doom.

    Cats

I forgot about the strays that we feed too. If you feed one you feed 'em all. I've also included the rageface meme I put together with the same picture. :ban:

    Philosophy Question - Freedom

Hopefully this will stem the debate even further. Do we truly have the freedom to be free or are we just a part of the cosmic clock?

    Cats

Here's my two cats doing what they love best. Kevin is the white cat and Kendall is the other. They refuse to drink out of a regular bowl; even with fresh water, but if they hear the toilet flush....
