    Oatmeal Stout help!!

I understand how to use the lactose. I would dissolve it in the hot coffee. BUT as far as the coffee. How much is a typical or "standard" amount when added to a batch of beer? Do people usually brew a pot? or smaller batch and add instant coffee to concentrate it?

you kinda get what you pay for, from my experiences... What are these other affordable options you speak of? and to have a precision tool to correctly and accurately measure your mash? I thought that was of the upmost importance because 154 and 152 is the difference between one thats drier...

    Thermapen Precision...

thats understandable. its not the .1 degree adjustability.... its the .7 accuracy. it may read 154 but actually closer to 153... almost a full degree. with the former, its will show .01 and it accurate to .1.

    Star San V Iodaphor

I have been using Iodaphor for a while... havent had a bad batch because of it. But, its stains.... Can be messy... Hate the smell. I wanted to see if anyone has made a switch or thoughts of Which people on here prefer.... -Andrew
