    Seattle Beer Week

I cannot say how impressed I am with the local beer culture here. Literally every bar Ive been to has at least 6 local micros on tap. It is actually harder to find BMC on tap than it is a great local micro. I love you Seattle.

    Seattle Beer Bars?

The beer culture in this town is unreal. Seriously, I could spend a month here doing nothing but drinking local micros and and never have the same beer twice. I wish I had more time here. Well done Seattle, well done indeed!

    Seattle Beer Bars?

Im at the Silver Cloud on Broadway which Im told is Capitol Hill. They have a shuttle service and Ill be getting an Orca card but not renting a car so yeah, proximity to public transport is key. I'll check that post on the micros, thanks.

One of many moments of complete idiocy...

+1 to that. I use glass and don't consider myself overly worrisome but I would consider retiring that particular carboy.

    get discount with positive review

Of course its debatable. Google, Yelp and Trip Advisor don't decide my personal ethics nor are they inherently right just because of their place in the market.

    get discount with positive review

I don't have a problem with it. Its widely accepted that unhappy customers are more likely to complain than happy customer are to praise. Assuming you run a good business this is just a way to wake up your silent majority and reward them for their testimonials. Also, what is CHI?

It takes a big man to share such an epic mistake.

Doctor say's I no more beer. Drink vodka instead.

4000 is pretty high. Im not sure you should hit quite that hard but don't kill yourself over it either. Today is a new day. Learn from past mistakes and try and do better. What did it to you? Football? NASCAR? Chicken wings?

How to brew by John Palmer or brewing lager beer by Noonan

The choice is easily Palmer's book first then Noonan's. As said above Palmers covers all the basics and you will use it as a reference throughout your brewing career. The Noonan deals with a subset of brewing, lagering, and will make much more sense after reading the How to Brew first.

Why does it hurt sometimes to smell the air in fermenter?

Try sticking your head into a chest freezer full of CO2 because you didn't make sure your keg connections were tight.
