I'm sure others will chime in. Seems like the consensus is that PET with a"1" on the bottom may be ok. I'm not sure it's exactly "the same" as a better bottle but maybe ok. I'm not speaking from experience though as I've stuck to glass and better bottles.

Is it a regular one with an aerator? If so, if you take that off you can get an adaptor from home depot or lowes that lets you use the chiller with your kitchen sink. It is a kitchen sink to garden hose adaptor type. I think for portable dishwashers. I think the only kind that won't work...
