    Force carbonating best bitter.

Thanks yoops. I should have mentioned I also had it at 38 degrees and 30 psi for almost a day so it should have enough to at least get through the line. I'll purge the keg and see where it's at and adjust.

    Force carbonating best bitter.

Thanks for the quick replies! I use picnic taps so the tap is normally around keg height. That being said, I guess i'll just go with 4-5 PSI and call it a day.

I've been using this chart. What is the minimum vol. CO2 you think I could get at 50 degrees?

    Force carbonating best bitter.

I'm force carbing an English Best Bitter and want to make sure i'm using enough PSI. Per the style, i've set the kegerator to ~50 degrees F and I only want about 1 vol of CO2. Per most of the charts i've found online, they say it would only need about 1 PSI to get there. Is this really going to...

    Alferman Imperial Berliner Weisse

my first batch ended up around 1.003 but that was fermented almost all the way out with lacto before adding any brewers yeast. the second batch i made was sitting around 1.010 about a month ago when i added some Casecade brewery Sang Noir dregs to the carboy. hoping that will get it down to...

    Stir bar getting thrown

Does it have a dial on it? Mine goes from on then one full spin around. Anything more than half way is way to fast for mine. Also is your starter in a flask or maybe something with a slightly curved bottom? That will mess things up real quick.. Sent from my phone using the app

Wildest ciders you've created and it's taste

I added the dregs from two bottles of Cascade Sang Nior to a basic cider recipe. It turned out quite sour and tasted almost just like Sang Nior. I really want to ferment more with that yeast, should have saved it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Home Brew mobile app

    Man, I love Apfelwein

You probably shouldn't fill your carboy up so full next time is what I'd recommend.

California Common California Common (Anchor Steam Clone) Extract and AG

My 3rd batch of this is cooling down right now. Added an extra half oz at flame out just because I had the hops and wasnt sure what else to do with them. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe Yooper!

    Experimental Hops!! FHBS

Kicked the keg of this beer by the14th day in the keg. It hardly had time to clear up but everyone seemed to love it! If you like light citrusy pale ales/ipas, or cascade hops at all this is the beer for you. I'll probably be picking up more of the 1210 hops very soon. They are cheap and...

    Your first batch...and your patience

What kind of beer is it? Some styles don't need as much carbonation at all.

    Your first batch...and your patience

It'll be flat still. If you really want to try it, start with one bottle cause it won't continue to carbonate if you leave them in the fridge. If you really can't wait the whole week you could pick one bottle and turn it over once a day to make sure the sugar and yeast don't drop out and this...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

If it's done fermenting (same hydrometer reading for 3days in a row) you'll need to add priming sugar if you want carbonation.

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

Let me know how this turns out. I have little bits of most of those hops laying around.
