When I cold crashed my beer the temp controller caused the beer to freeze. When the beer was frozen the temp read 168. When I removed the temp probe the temp dropped to around 100. Does anyone know how to reset the controller?

I am making my first wine from a caller craft kit with the grape skins. My question is should I make a yeast starter like I do with beer. If so is the process the same as beer and should I use some I the juice concentrate that comes with the kit?

I just scored a 14cf chest freezer from Home Depot for $225 because it had a small dent on the lid. My question is should I spend the extra money for a digital external temp controller or just buy an analog one?

Planted cascade, northern brewer and centennial. The bines did not grow well at all. The only plant that produced anything was the cascade and it was only about 10 hop cones. Any suggestions on what to do for next year?
