    British summer ale help

Perhaps the Ol' Bitter Bastard NHC 2013 winner recipe? I am sorry I do not have the link on hand, but search that. I just made the recipe but instead of the darker British Crystal malt, you could use the lighter Brotish Crystal malt (55-65L)??

    Session Red IPA

I made a session IRA that was fantastic and based on Bobby M's Magnarillocent Amber Ale, but I did indeed add some flaked oats for some body. It turned out great and keg was finished rather quickly. I might suggest to add some Munich and Victory malt for some backbone as un his recipe and some...

    Hopalicious clone

swstim, nice job doing this. Sounds like it turned out to be a decent cascade apa. I'd be curious to see how scaling back the grain bill as you mentioned would contribute. BTW, just brewed a session Ambergeddon clone last night ~ 4.5 abv target. Smells great bubbling away in the primary...

    Citrapist IPA

That is a fantastic idea that I completely forgot about! Thank you. I forgot that ale asylum doesn't pasteurize their brews like New Glarus does.

    Citrapist IPA

Thanks for sharing this! I'm not a really a fan of Belgians but love Bedlam IPA. Going to brew this for my first Belgian style. What wyeast or a dry yeast would you recommend for this? It seems like the LHBS in Madison and Janesville (Farmhouse BS) only have wyeast and dry.

    Hopalicious clone

@swstim thanks for trying that. I hope it makes a nice, well balanced apa. Thinking about it for the last 1.5 years since I posted that, I might add a FWH addition to add a different dimension of the hop flavor, and it seems that Hopalicious is fairly light colored, so I'm not sure if Dean at...

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

FYI... The new dry yeast from danstar, BRY-97 American West Coast Ale Yeast works great for this recipe. Very clean - even at my higher than normal basement temperatures - and not over attenuated. Since i did the no chill cube method, i made a small real wort starter with the dry yeast. Only a...

    Cold brew coffee stout

AdamWiz, Thank you for finding and sharing... I'm itching to brew a Coffee Bender clone, and I think this off the shelf cold brewed coffee would be a very feasible option. Please let us know if you try this...

    Sand Creek Hard Lemonade

Have not tried the lemon stuff, but their porter is very good. You could also do the stovetop pasteurization method (there's a sticky somewhere - perhaps on cider forum) to stop fermentation after you hit desired sweetness and desired carbonation level.

Grain by the 50# sack options

Yes indeed. It is actually Andy Sparks who has the LHBS there, The Home Brewery, and their base grain prices seem reasonable... http://www.thehomebrewery.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=THB&Category_Code=UNCGRAIN Absolutely love the podcast. James Spencer does an excellent...

    Hopalicious clone

+1 on the shout out to Ale Asylum. Their APA, AAA, BIPA, IPA, and DIPA are absolutely fantastic. To clone Ambergeddon, I'd recommend Bobby M's Magnarillocent Amber Ale with dry hopping some centennial and amarillo. Farmhouse Brewing Supply in Janesville has deals on these hops right now. I...

    Old Glory Pale Ale

Thanks for sharing, folks! This is my favorite at the Dane - will brew in the near future. Cheers!
