    What to offer?

Exactly. All it took was a little cleaning. As soon as I get my beer line cleaner in the mail, I'll be ready. I've got PBW but I think line cleaner would be a better idea, correct me if I'm wrong.

    What to offer?

I paid the full price, I asked if he'd take $700 and he said no. The guy was saving for a down payment on a new house, so I wasnt gonna fight him on it.

One was half full with old old beer, the rest were empty.

    What to offer?

Yeah, he was just trying to get rid of it all due to a relocation. I think it was a good deal. It was 6 Cornies, the kegerator with 2 taps, the 10 gallon HLT and MT from MoreBeer with temp gauges installed. About 30lbs of specialty grains. And a ton of other misc stuff.

    boulevard in KC

I agree with most that's been said on this thread so far, however, they do have a Classic American Pilsner that I just tried a few weeks ago. It's a very good beer. The most impressive one of theirs IMO.

    It's Like Christmas!

I've been cruising craigslist for awhile now, looking for AG or keg stuff. I've currently been bottling my mini-mash brews. I found a kegerator with two taps, a 5lb CO2 tank/reg, a 5lb Nitro tank/reg, 6 ball lock Corny kegs, the 10 gallon lauter tun and mash tun from MoreBeer along with the...

    Sales on National Homebrew day?

Just curious does anyone know of any online retailers having any big sales on May 7th? What about your LHBS? I've been browsing but haven't found any yet.

    Which book would you buy?

I've been reading Radical Brewing lately, I haven't finished it yet. I've enjoyed it so far. The author is humorous and it gives some great history behind styles and beer in general. Good recipes for AG and extract. I really enjoyed a part in the book on ways to improve Pilsners and Stouts, my 2...

Help Me Build My Czech Pilsner

To answer (C): I was reading up on Pilsners the other day, and the author recommended the use of a single hop, and did specifically recommend Saaz FWIW. Have you put any thought to water quality?? The last recipe I saw called for distilled water.

    Freezer opportunity

I have the opportunity to buy a 7.0 cubic foot Holiday chest freezer for only $100. But the question is, what is the most economical way to set everything up? I currently have a dorm fridge that is holding a 5 gallon fermentor that is lagering. It can hold one fermentor or 2 Corny's. This new...

    What is a cherry wheat?

Sam Adam's version was the worst beer I've ever had. Ever. Rather drink cough syrup

Greetings from KC with a few serious questions!

Welcome! You'll find TONS of good info on here. I see you're from KCMO, I live there myself, well, just east out in Lexington. Your brew buddy idea is very intriguing. For a basic partial mash/extract brewer as myself, pH, specific gravity (not really sure how you'd be able to do that), and core...

    Someone try my beer?

Hey man, I live not TOO far from you in Lexington MO. I'd be happy to give it a try. I've only been brewing for a year or so, but I might be able to help ya out. I live a ways from a LHBS too, can be frustrating at times. Thank god for the internet.

So tasting a style before brewing might be a good idea

I did the exact same thing with my very first brew. Brewed up a stout, then, after drinking some realized I wasn't a huge fan of stouts. It was good, and in style. Just not for me. I got into craft beer and home brewing at the same time so every where I go I look for brew pubs and am stopping in...
