    Exploding Swing Tops

Hefeweizen is not normally bottle conditioned at the breweries . In many cases the yeast that is in the bottle is not the yeast that was what the beer was fermented with and it is added just prior to bottling for no other reason than often times brewery yeast is bred to floc out too efficiently...

    Oregon Digital temperature controller

Cleaning out the garage. Johnson Controls A419ABG-3C digital temperature controller. Can be used to cycle on an off a freezer to maintain a set point or to cycle a solenoid to maintain brew temp. Lots of uses. Heres a link to the specs etc...

    Oregon Data recorder / PLC

This is a Graphtec Dataq GL220 midi logger. This unit can act either as a stand alone data logger for temperature, pressure, or whatever you you have sensors for or you can connect it to your computer to log data in the proprietary logs and/or in an excel spreadsheet. Display in digital or...

OK. Looks like I will be putting an order together from China for screen. This is is wedge wire stainless welded dewatering screen . Its what breweries use in their lauter tun floors. This time I'll likely do 1/2 meter by 1/2 meter screen with 1mm openings and 3mm wire. Cost would be in the $75...

    Flow meters for microbreweries

I'll have to back track a bit. Just went out to the shop and checked a few things. I forgot that I had repurposed the 2 inch trio wirl a few months back. So that leaves one ABB model ST4000 in 1 1/2" , One two inch Rosemount 8705 teflon lined magnetic flowmeter and two 3 inch FOXBORO ( not...

    Flow meters for microbreweries

This are professional grade high volume flowmeters like you'd find in a brewery . Ive got a few new or like new ( as in used once for a few hours ) flowmeters for sale. Two are stainless ABB Trio wirl meters. Essentially they are vortex meters and show whatever flow rate you configure...

I'm going to have some for what for us would be scrap pieces of 2mm gap 6" round stock. It would be fgood for experimentation with a center lauter screen or hop back. email me at [email protected] if you would be interested in such a thing. 1 foot long sections probably.

Be wary cutting that stuff. Its hard . I smoked two reciprocating saw metal blades cutting the two that I sectioned. You'll want to use cut off wheels to make clean cuts and you'll go through a few.

They should be trickling into the 7 guys who ordered any day now. They went out last week.

Like any screen you'll need something to support it off the bottom unless you have a better way.

I'll try to slip an order in but don't hold your breath. You might consider partnering up with someone If I make the order for 3X6 screens you could conceivably get 6 screens out of a sheet. I don't mind importing this stuff but I have no interest in importing material and cutting them to size...

    Lauter screen

Its pretty heavy duty but you only cut one wire at a time. A die grinder with a cutoff wheel works just fine for this stuff. Its not like cutting perforated plate or flat stock. I'd scribe a circle with a divider over layout die and then cut to the outside of the circle then dress it up with a...

    Lauter screen

Heres the deal. It could take 6 months to never before we place another screen order at work. Theres no real pressing need now and it could take a while before we even install the ones we have just received in our process tanks. If I can get 20 people to place paid orders for at least one 5...

They use a automated resistance welder. You should see the tubular screens I bought with this order. 12 foot long and 6 inches wide with coiled triangular wire on 36 center support wires. Very nicely made and bullet proof. They do good work.

    Lauter screen

The other part sold but heres what they look like in case I get another one together.. Neat stuff. Next order I get together I'll probably have them made a foot longer to be able to get 4qty 16 inch screens out of one.

No. A full sheet is 4'x2' . By half sheet I mean 2'x2'. FWIW Price this stuff domestically. I did. A 4X2 sheet costs $1700.
