Need a German Speaker for Translation Assistance

Well, I'm in a bit of a bind at work. My boss wants me to get a letter out to a German client, overnight mail by tomorrow. Only thing is a professional translation would cost over 100 dollars and the company doesn't want to spring for it. So it looks like we're going to use Google...

    Defective Vinator?

Am thinking some enterprising soul should write up a sticky with detailed instructions on how to put together a new vinator. I know I futzed with mine for a while before I got it together, and was sure it was defective until it all "clicked." Plus, I found mine takes quite a few more pumps...

any reason to NOT use a bottle?

I've had the same problem with moldy bottles, and my bottle washer did a great job of clearing them out. Glass is non-porous, so you don't have to worry too much. I usually just blast them clean, then sanitize with starsan in my vinator, and bottle. Never had a problem. Though if you are...

Beer Haul From Trip to the UK

Sounds like a great trip! I did something similar with scotch when I was in the UK, but brought back nowhere near as much sweet schwag. Nice score!

    Buying a keg

Hmm, I might be wrong, but technically I believe the keg belongs to the brewery in question (in this case Bud), and while you could keep it and forfeit your keg deposit, it's not really the liquor store's to sell you. Are you looking to use the keg to make a keggle, or to actually keg your...

    hello all from michigan

I'd say it's probably the yeast that was the problem, at that age I doubt you had many viable cells. If you buy an older canned kit off a shelf at your lhbs, your best bet is to buy new yeast to go with it. A cheap investment to ensure good beer. Welcome.

    Thanks guys!

    I can't measure 5 gallons. Crazy?

And now we're back to questions of temperature. If a pint (volume) is a pound (mass), then the volume will change relative to temperature, whereas the mass will not. Am I wrong?
