    The only thing that has changed is it has gotten colder in the last few days. I didn't add any real pumpkin, just the pumpkin spice. I think Jeep may be right and i have a start of an infection.

    unfortunately no - its an extract brew and I usually compensate by letting it ferment longer (this went for 4 weeks). Its been business as usual until now :(

    Just wanted to drop a quick note - this sparkling hard cider is very good. 4 weeks in the primary, no secondary and it was clear. Forced carbed it after it cooled in the fridge for a day and it was delicious. thx brewfick and shakerd:mug::tank:

    a week seems a bit short but check your hydrometer readings. siphon don't pour to transfer. oxygenation is a bad thing now

    water for partial boil brewing

    I've started using the sprayer from teh faucet right into the ale pale to fill it up to 5 gallons. Can't think of a better way to oxygenate the water then that.

    Second Brew Tomorrow

    i'm a noob but i thought red ale was suppose to be ... ummm, red. I did a brewers best red ale and its currently sitting in the keg getting carbed up. I had a sample and it pretty much looked the same color as all my other beers. (yes, i do kits and extract)

    force carbing

    thats what I do - i'm having trouble filling the pipeline so I basically have had to force carb every beer I've made so far. No complaints :tank:
