Each output will receive the 12.5 psi.

if stir plates for starters why not primary?

+1 I also noticed the "magnetized" picture is just a photo negative of the "non-magnetized" picture. "Dr. Butcher" doesn't add credibility, either. And running cars on "magnet beer"?

if stir plates for starters why not primary?

The pressure associated with heating and cooling a carboy has to do with the thermal expansion of the air, not so much the CO2 going in and out of solution. If you put an airlock on a completely empty carboy, you'll notice the same pressure changes with heating and cooling. Or throw an empty...

if stir plates for starters why not primary?

Stirplates don't create a vacuum. I hope I'm just misunderstanding what you wrote, because that's a pretty ignorant statement. To the OP, there's a certain cell count that makes the best tasting beer. Increasing cell count with a stirplate in primary (not that it would even work right...

Yeast dribbled on my hand while pouring

People were brewing good beer before handwashing was even invented. Beer's hardier than some people realize.

    created a vacuum in carboy?

I fill them to the little line, just like I do with my 1-piece airlocks.

    created a vacuum in carboy?

We're not worried about dust, we're worried about bacteria, which definitely doesn't get trapped, it goes right through with the air. Air won't bubble back in a 3-piece until airlock liquid has already been sucked into your beer (if your airlock's filled properly. Glass carboys are actually...

    created a vacuum in carboy?

This is just completely untrue. Airlocks are to prevent any air from getting into your fermenter, but still let air bubble out. If bubbles come in, they definitely won't be "sterile."

23 L Glass Carboy for $28.07 with Amazon

I ordered 2 on Thursday, and mine have shipped as well, to be here Wednesday. Much better than the 5-6 weeks originally estimated.

    Blow off tube?

My first 3, a bitter, a stout, and a brown ale didn't get more than 1-2 inches of krausen, not even close to blowing off. The 4th was a Graff, and that sucker was oozing out the airlock when I got home! I had a blow off tube for my glass carboy, but the Graff was in a Better Bottle, so my tube...

    Alabama Homebrewer Arrested

I don't think that's true at all. From what I understand, they didn't search his house because they suspected homebrewing or distilling, they suspected meth because of a "tip" from a neighbor he'd made enemies with.

    Alabama Homebrewer Arrested

Of course cocaine has medicinal uses, but it's no longer "perfectly legal and commonplace," I think that was his point. I'd be surprised if there were any timely developments of this case. These things are usually long and drawn out. With a still, I doubt anything but the obvious will...

    Alabama Homebrewer Arrested

It's "modeled on" a product that used to have cocaine? Are you serious? If it doesn't have cocaine in it now, what's your point? Traditionally, beer has made with all kinds of psychoactive substances, much more serious than cocaine. Does drinking beer and being against mescaline make you a...

    basmati rice - cereal mash?

Unhealthy!? It's got a bit less fiber and B vitamins than brown rice, but it's definitely not unhealthy, quite the contrary. Holy crap, send it here, I love the stuff! Using a premium rice like basmati for brewing is a waste!

    Delerium Tremens Clone

Since there are people who didn't know Delirium Tremens was a medical condition, they might find this interesting as well. The pink elephants on a DT bottle are associated with the medical condition, because pink elephants are supposedly a common alcoholic hallucination. They even show up in...
