    I haven't used this yeast before. I see that the pack recommends that the yeast be rehydrated. My questions is how crucial is this? I have used different dry yeast strains in the past but have never done this suggested method. Am I in trouble if I didn't follow this procedure? Anyone...

    Bad idea to split 1 yeast pack into 2 fermenters?

    Brewing 13 gallons of a pale ale tonight. I will end up with 6.5 gallons in each carboy. Can I go cheep and buy only 1 pack of yeast and just put half in each fermenter? Is this bad practice? I have a couple erlenmeyer flasks, and am working on learning the process of making starters...

    Cracked Immersion chiller

    Hey guys, I left my immersion chiller in the car last winter and it cracked in a couple spots. They're approximately 1/2 in long gashes. Is there anything I can do to save this, or is it scrap? Thanks

    Am I wasting Starsan and water?

    for those of you just using the spary bottle method, how are you sanitizing your glass carboys and tubing? how about when bottling? i have been submerging clean(pbw and a hot rinse) bottles in a 5 gal mix of starsan, draining and filling. Is there room for improvement here? just curious...

    just ordered 3lbs of leaf hops from hops direct. i plan on using the food saver to vac seal them down to smaller packages. my question is this... how long before use should i remove hops from the freezer? is there any "dethaw" necessary, or can i just remove and use? thanks
