Kegged beer starts out great, loses head toward end of keg

I'm coming to the end of my second kegged brew and have noticed that both times the beer doesn't retain its head when I get down to the last third to quarter of the keg. The carbonation is fine, though the beer seems a little more watery and "listless" if that makes any sense. This current...

    Why 22oz?

I know this is an old thread, but I just found this article that claims 22oz bottles were introduced by Lagunitas back in '95: http://www.hopandwine.com/history-behind-the-22-ounce-beer-bottle/

Do I really need a thermometer on my BK?

I'll be using a counter flow chiller to cool. Already have the sight glass given to me by a friend. I guess I could always get a thermometer later if I feel I need it.

Hmm, I'm brewing this for a special occasion. I think I'll have to call this one a wash and brew another to be safe. Thanks for the info.

What I didn't realize is that the towel insulated the carboy, so the heat from the fermentation caused the...

Starter seems slow to get going, could it be the yeast's viability?

Last night I made a starter with Wyeast 1028 London Ale. I did it as have had done the last two times, so no difference in technique. With the previous starters, which were both for Wyeast 3944 Belgian, the fermentation was quite active 18-24 hours later, with a thick layer of krausen...
