    Fermentation temps

On this note.....I have a on-topic question..... I'm just getting started, but have been running through things and I'd like to use my unfinished basement as my fermentation area, if not my brewing area. I have a walk-out basement, so it's not always around 60d all the time, but it's...

    Smoked Beer?

Interesting. Thanks all. I do have a couple of smokers, but since the only brewing equipment I have is the Mr. Beer set that's been on a shelf in my garage for about 4 years, I don't think I'll be smoking any malt any tiime soon. I'm just now reading "How To Brew" and only just the other...

    Smoked Beer?

OK, so once I drank a smoked beer (German) at an authentic German Restaurant in Indianapolis. I've never been able to find one since. Anyone ever done that? What process does that entail? I know all about smoking fish, pork, beef, cheese, etc.....but BEER? It was VERY good...

    Reading, reading, reading.............

    Reading, reading, reading.............

OK......so I've been reading like crazy (when I can) for the last few days since joining here and trying to find out about this "home brewing thing". I'm on section 2 of "How To Brew" by John Palmer. I've already learned so much. Heck....on Sunday, I didn't have a CLUE what priming was or...

    Fresh newbie here.........

Nope. bbq-brethren.com. Joined last June. I got hard into Q'ing a couple of years ago, but bbq-brethren.com really helped me learn how to make it great. Beer & BBQ are nearly essential of each other, IMHO! Definitely compliments of each other. I watched a show over the weekend called...

    Fresh newbie here.........

So.... I just joined. I have ZERO experience. I recieved a Mr. Beer kit several years ago as a gift and it's still on a shelf in my garage. I've been reading like crazy on the internet and was directed here by a member of a BBQ forum that I'm a member of. I like it. Lots of good stuff...
