    Smoked Eggs

That's completely insane and totally awesome! I may do a dozen tomorrow and pickle them.

Free Stella Chalice-Just call and they'll ship it!

Got mine a couple days ago. Got to love a free beer glass. I'll probably give it my buddy so he'll have a set. He's a Stella fan more than me anyway.

    Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre

First time I tried it, I hated it. Second time around I found it quite good (this is why I always try a beer a couple times before passing judgement on it). Yeah, it's a big beer that will get you wrecked if you're not careful.

    Ruthless Rye

Didn't know it was out until I saw at the grocery store yesterday. Great beer. I'm not a fan of Terrapin rye ale, but the rye flavors worked out much better in the bigger IPA. This beer will be a regular in my fridge.

    Orlando drinking

Red Light Red Light is hallowed ground. Plan on taking a cab home.

Took me about 10 min. Free is good.

    Favorite Brewing Music

Mozart - brewing is a cerebral art after all. ;) Seriously though, Mozart. It makes your beer better.

    20% abv beer, 100%fail.

And just what do you expect a 1.078 FG to turn into over time?

    Something new from Sam Adams?

I tried the blonde barley wine yesterday and didn't care for it. This does not means it's not a good beer, I just don't like strong malty beers without a good dose of hops (or roasted malts) to bring balance. There are plenty of highly regarded Belgian beers that I simply don't like for this...

    Celebration Ale - 2011

My local grocery has been selling it for $13 a 12 pack. I've been downing a bit much of it lately. This needs to be a regular brew and not a seasonal. I'm a bit surprised they made the Torpedo a regular brew and held the Celebration as seasonal.

    Something new from Sam Adams?

I did pick up a bit on the heat too but I was hoping for some chili flavor to go along with it.

    Something new from Sam Adams?

The Red was pretty good. Malt body and hops balanced well together. Lot of good flavor things going on (sorry I don't speak BJCP). If they put this stuff out in six packs, I'd buy it regularly. If they don't, I'm going have to clone this beer. The Vixen did not knock my socks off. I had a...

    Something new from Sam Adams?

I was at the beer store today and noticed some new offerings from Sam Adams. I picked up a bomber of Tasman Red IPA, The Vixen chocolate chili bock, and Griffin's Bow blonde barley wine. There was also a double IPA but I passed on that. I didn't even know these beers were out until I saw them on...

    Teriyaki Barley wine

Sounds like it would great for cooking. Is there an easy way to make a gallon of "soy beer"?

    Too long in the fermenter???

I had a couple ales sit in primary for close to six months. They both came out great. I was expecting a grand dumping but instead has an unexpected bottling day. It's hard to mess up beer even when you mess up.

why do so many people F with kit beer?

Often times someone new at cooking will tend to focus on what ingredients they can add that result in great flavor, instead of focusing on cooking techniques. You can come up with a great dry rub recipe, but if it's sitting on dried out, overcooked chicken, it's not going to be good. Someone...

    It's a celebration!

My local grocery started stocking it last week. Great beer.

    Cleaning blow off tube?

The Bore Snake certainly wasn't the first of it's kind, it's just an evolved version of an old idea. Old commie insurgent AK-47 cleaning consisted of a knotted boot lace, dipped in motor oil, and pulled through the bore.

    Cleaning blow off tube?

I attached a small weight to one end of length of string and an appropriately sized brush to the other. I drop the weighted end down one end of the tube until it comes out the other. I then pull the brush through the tube. I got the idea from a device called a bore snake, used for cleaning rifle...

    Bad first experience with pasteurizing

I suspect with glass, you're always operating outside your BFPL curves. That's why pasteurizing is only for men of steel like us. ISOLATE THE PRESSURIZER! MAN THE CHARGE/DISCHARGE STATION!!! ;)
