    Scaling a recipe

You can pretty much do the math yourself. Everything can be scaled by 1/5. But there are a few recipe websites that will automatically scale. Brewgr.com Brewtoad.com

    No fizz! Mileston wheat beer

Temperature could be an issue. But you could try adding a couple of grains of dry yeast to each bottle and re-cap them. I'm assuming you used enough drops. I'm not really familiar with the priming rate for the drops.

    6 Gallon Better Bottle Carboy

No reason why a used one would be problematic. But if you're looking for a PET carboy there are a ton of other options available besides Better Bottle.

    Hops used the most?

I mostly make German lagers and English ales these days. I use mostly nobles and EKG. I do have a house single hop APA that I make from time to time. I typically rotate through a variety of American hops for that one since the specific hop isn't critical to the recipe.

Dry hop in keg @ room temp while carbing - ok?

The one drawback is that you already cleared the beer. Now you are adding back hops. You are going to have floaters in your beer. But yes you can dry hop at room temp.

    steep time and temp

Cold steeping doesn't have to be in the fridge. It can simply be at room temp. It's typically used for dark grain to reduce bitterness. I've done it. It works fine. Although I have wondered about whether or not it's really necessary to steep for as long as 24 hours.

    Brewmasters Warehouse

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Placed an order on 10-23 and didn't hear anything from them until I contacted them a week later. They said they something about being particularly busy at that time and that my order was ready to ship except they didn't have the DME I had ordered and it would...

    Wisconsin Round cooler mash tun

I have a 5 gal and a 10 gal mash tun. Both have stainless braids for lautering and 3/8 in ports. I've also replaced the braids in both. I've moved on to a 3 kettle system and don't use these that often. Looking to get $55 for the 5 gal, $75 for the 10 gal. Yes you can build them a little...

    Cheap Copper at Home Depot

Looking at the tag, it's likely on clearance and probably only in stores. Usually yellow tag means clearance. Also, this is the time of the year to find a clearance item since they reset their shelves between now a February. That said, if you can find it, that's a hot deal.

Brew stand for rectangular cooler MLT

If I'm understanding you correctly, you have one burner that I assume you use to heat your strike water and to boil with. If this is the case, all you really need is a table that puts the valve of your MLT higher than the top of your BK when it is sitting on your burner. You can just pour your...

    Chiller Upgrade

If you want to save some money and do DIY, you might consider making a 30'-50' immersion chiller out of 1/2" copper tubing. There is nothing inherently wrong with an immersion chiller. It's just that most people buy a 20' one made of 3/8" tubing, which is undersized to quickly cool 5+ gals of...

    Brew Dogs...

Should be interesting to see if this gets picked up for another season.
