    BJCP Tasting Dilemma

I think you can be ready by November. I have only been studying for a month but I previously went through some BJCP study courses through my brew club. Make sure you can get a slot for the exam. In my area it is a 2-year wait to get a seat. I got lucky as a bunch of people backed out last minute.

    BJCP Tasting Dilemma

I am going to be taking the BJCP Tasting exam this weekend. I am very excited and studying diligently. But because the gods have a cruel sense of humor, they have given me one hell of a cold. I am so congested that I can barely smell or taste. Anyone have any suggestions on how i can clear my...

    Diffusion Stones falling apart

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but my diffusion stones keep coming apart on me. Has anyone figured out a way to re-attach the stone to the flare nut, so it stays together? I have gone through 3 stones now.

    Mr. Beer Home brew kit

I started using a Mr Beer kit. Sadly, it came out so bad that I didn't brew again for 5 years. There is nothing wrong with the Mr Beer system, but the ingredients that they provide are horrible.

    Why Naturally Carb in Keg?

I have always force carbonated my beer, but I know some people prefer to naturally carbonate in the keg. Can someone tell me the reason why? Is there a flavor difference or reason that I am not aware of?

Please help me confirm the worst...

Mold grows in dark moist areas. If mold spores were to land in your wort, they will grow on top. They are very small like pollen. But I wouldnt worry too much as long as it tastes good.

Please help me confirm the worst...

It is hard to tell from the pictures. This could just be yeast colonies or it may be mold. If it us fuzzy then it is mold. But that does not mean that it is bad. Even if it is mold you can rack from under it and it is usually fine. The only way to really tell is to smell and taste it l. If it...
