    STC-1000 wildly inaccurate temperature reading

So far so good and the meads are still bubbling away. I've been using this controller for about a year now. It seemed to only do this 2-3 times and it's only when the fridge was off for awhile and then plugged back in. I think a relay might have been stuck but it's all good for now.

    STC-1000 wildly inaccurate temperature reading

Anyone ever have this issue? Temp is reading correctly and currently on heat but the fridge is still running. There is nothing hooked up to the heating side at all and I can't get it to do it again intentionally. I heated up the probe, cooled it down and the fridge shuts off. This has...

I want to apologize to everyone that had a long delay with their order, especially SZaleski. I do remember talking with you and feel horrible it took so long for you to get the Hop Spider when I told you otherwise. I haven't had enough time to build up and inventory of them so they're...

What is the "best" HERMS system

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had much time to be on HBT. I'm enjoying a quick lunch break and noticed this post so I thought I would put in my 2 cents. The RIMS system seems to be a little more geared towards the electric setup while the HERMS can be used for gas or electric...

Low profile stainless herms coil for keggle?

You can go with a 12" or 14" coil and no bends in a keg since they typically measure about 15-3/4". When installing it you would thread it through the cut out kind of like a screw. This would require you to go with some type of compression 90 elbow. The 10" is what I recommend to keggle users...

Low profile stainless herms coil for keggle?

Hi Grathan, what exactly are you trying to do? Was it that we were not able to do it because of our tooling? I am interested in helping if possible!

Broken Glass Carboy Horror Stories Compendium

This thread scares the crap out of me as I think it's intended to do. I've been pretty lucky with how I handle mine but seeing some of the damage and life long effects these thing can do, I will start treating these things with a little more respect. I make a living using my hands and actually...

Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, South Mesa Brewers?

I have way too many orders to catch up on first but would love to stop by. I haven't been able to brew in 6 months...pathetic. If you place an order though, it may give me a good reason to make a delivery and stop by sometime. The shop is in Mesa but I live in SE Gilbert.

    The Home Made Pizza Thread

I've been drooling over this thread for a week and finally made my first Wednesday. I ordered a stone online and made the dough 3 days prior. I need improvement on the dough making skills but it was still delicious. 2 minutes on the grill at 600 degrees. Thanks for everyone's tips.

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

It also might be because MoreBeer has been around longer and has a bigger wallet. This allows SS Tech to place larger orders through their manufacturer since they already have the units pretty much sold to MoreBeer. Just a thought.

DIY Stainless Immersion or Counterflow chiller?

Wow, this is an old thread. I was able to make one up and it worked great but it's pretty ugly. It's a 20ft 1"OD x 1/2"ID with wire wrapped around the inner tube. On a hot summer day here in July using my cooler for the mash tun filled with ice water I was able to get this as low as 45 degrees...

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

I agree with this. I wonder why they chose to go this route? I'm curious on the Patent Pending rotating racking arm? "Oh, and we decided to throw in a patent pending rotatable racking arm while we were at it!" Patent applications are not cheap and there's no guarantee. I wonder what...
