    What variety are they?

    Growing hops

Alpha acid. Generally the higher the AA, the more bitter they are. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hop_varieties

How do you keep keg from clogging from unfiltering and huge dry hops?

If you want to cut the dip tube, you really don't need any special equipment a 10 dollar pipe cutter will cut it just fine. You can get them on Amazon or any big box home improvement store store. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NY6QUG/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

    Thermometer calibration

I calibrate my thermometers at the Mash temp, not boiling and I use a Glass thermometer to calibrate the one on my mash tun.

    Twist off bottles?

I've used twist off bottles accidentally before. The cap was harder to attach. It seemed to seal just fine. Didn't even notice until I opened the bottle. I don't make a habit of it though.

    Milk Stout low OG reading

When making extract only batches, sometimes if you don't mix it well enough before taking the gravity, the "Heavier" extract will stay the bottom wiht the thiner water at the top and it could skew your gravity results. With all extract kits, if you made it per the instructions, I would worry too...

    Make 'em disappear

Taylor Swift - Don't care who she is breaking up with next. Jason Mraz - Whiny little man baby and, to be honest, any other top 40 crap. In contrast....my typical brew day playlist....Slayer, Trivium, Devil Driver, Testament, Megadeth....etc..

    Noob needs help

If it has been in the primary for 3 weeks and the gravity is stable, I would say that it is ok to bottle.

You know you're a home brewer when?

On the way to spend a day in Boston with the wife for your anniversary, you drive 45 minutes out of the way to visit a HBS that you've never been to before and spend 1 hour talking to the owner of the store....and the wife understands. That was this past Saturday.

    "upgrading" to star san

I've never had a problem with it "ruining" counter tops. StarSan is great....Get a new 5 gallon bucket (Homedepot, Lowes) 5 gallons of Distilled water and 1oz of StarSan...it will keep for about 6 months, provided you keep a lid on it. I bought a bottle 2 years ago and still haven't used it all...

    Stuck Fermentation

How long where they in Primary/Secondary? I just let mine stay in Primary until it's done (3 weeks or so)

    Please help my stupidity

    1. Yes, until it is finishes carbing to the level that you want it to. Then, as long as your keg doesn't leak, you are fine.....I do it all the time. 2. Depends on the style or what you want to do. See here for a chart. 3. Yes, that is the idea of carbonating beer and not it wont, unless...

What's the best way to dry hop???

I dry hop in kegs and wrap the hops in cheesecloth, works great, easy to remove. Hell sometimes, I'll just leave the hops in the keg and force carb it with the hops still in it. Some people say not to leave the hops in that long...I say "screw the naysayers". My 2 cents anyway. Cheers :mug:
