    Johnson Control Analog Question

Does anyone know what the altitude calibration settings/adjustment #s are for an A19 analog temp controller? This comes into question since I live in the Denver area (at about 5000+ ft). I recently picked up a new (not secondhand/used) analog A19 Johnson Controller for the second chest...

    mounting fan to keezer lid...

If your fan moves enough CFMs then a lid mount isn't a big deal. Since the keezer is a 'closed' system you'll be forcing the air down to mix into a consistent temperature and not just moving the cold out of the way. Mine is mounted on the lid and it works great to keep the whole inside at the...

    Faucet Height Question

No, it doesn't. It'll just make the system flow/balancing a bit strange (i.e. the line length vs. CO2 pressure) in that it may provide a bit of siphon-like flow properties (depending on how much lower the tap is from the liquid level in that keg) and so a negative resistance factor - but I have...

Definitely +1 on the Perlick 525s!

tenth and blake..... it had to happen sometime.

Ah, the point goes to you sir. Haven't been into Falling Rock in a while... Guess it's time for a trip downtown!

tenth and blake..... it had to happen sometime.

Though I know it's a play on words, the irony is that this "location" is in the middle what would be left field on Metro State's ball field near the Pepsi Center in Denver. So would it be fair to say they're out in "left field" on this one? :p On a separate, yet related topic - there's a new...

    Anniversary vacation turned beer tour

Holy S!$T dude! That's an awesome anniversary! Very jealous! ...any un-married sisters-in-law!?:mug: The real question now is where are you gonna go next year to try and top that trip?

    Beer Glass Temps

Just curious as to how everyone stores their pint glasses... I'm sure this type of survey has happened before - just looking for a current update! I'm a fan of keeping the pint glasses in a mini fridge near the taps to keep them cool, but not frozen. Other thoughts...?

    Line balancing... Confused

Well, I think the #1 issue to deal with is the 1/4" ID line. That type of beverage line has very little to no resistance. 1/4" is used more for longer runs (+25'), so I would first say 'downgrade' (though it's a better line) to some 3/16" line. This will provide the correct type of resistance...

    Bad Influences!!!

Glad to help any way I can! :rockin: I'm living SWMBO-free right now so I get to do what I want (for the moment!). :mug: Haha, yeah the pic doesn't capture the color too well - it's darker than that. I like the good dark green color - and it was paint left over from other projects so the...

Kitchen Sink Faucet to Dispense Beer???

I agree with klug! It may sound like a cool idea, but with any sink-like faucet you'll have beer that will stay in the line and be exposed to air (for who knows how long between fills), and the cleaning would be a top-shelf pain in the a$$! Plus, the plumbing for a faucet is very hap-hazard when...

    Bad Influences!!!

Yeah, I'll eventually get a wall cabinet or such for the other drink glasses (Margarita, highball, martini, coctail, etc.). At the moment all the pints live in the mini fridge to keep them cool. The fan does help in keeping the interior lines cool since they're near the top of the keezer...

    Bad Influences!!!

The beer lines have a similar labeling system as the gas lines, though I'm using numbers for the beer (as opposed to letters with gas)... ...and these run with the glycol lines up into a fully insulated box attached to the backside of the wall. The one box has room for 3 taps (though I...

    Bad Influences!!!

[LONG POST...if you're willing to read!] You guys are all bad influences! All these great DIY builds of all kinds of stuff that I've been following the last year or so drove me to desperation and I had to go and build a bar in my basement. Shame on you! :mug: So now I'm sure you'll want to...

    About to build a Keezer...

More cu Ft = More Kegs = More Beer = More Happiness!!! :mug: Plus, IMHO once you start down the keg/keezer path you'll always want more space!

    Keezer

That kind of insulation is ok - but really it's used for radiant heating applications to reflect the infrared back in a certain direction. I don't think it deals with cold as well. I used this stuff in my keezer and it works great - plus it's a higher R-Value which is always good!

Where have all the great deals on Cornys gone?

Yeah, that's what I thought at first (which would have been :ban: ). Oh well, needed some other stuff anyways so I just throw one in the cart and move on...
