    Bourbon porter

Brewed a porter. Its in secondary currently. Soaked some charred oak cubes in bourbon. Recipe says to add both the oak and bourbon to the secondary. There is a lot of bourbon not soaked in. Thoughts?

    1st Time Kegging

I'm getting ready to keg for the 1st time. Ive read many methods of transferring from the fermenter to the keg. I was planning on racking right into the keg then closing it up, sealing it up and chilling overnight before carbonating. I just read about filling with sanitizer, forcing it out...

    Bad yeast?

I brewed a milk stout yesterday with no problems. Pitched a WL English ale yeast that looked a little suspicious. It had slightly separated. Almost 24 hours later no activity at all...no bubbling and no krausen. Is it possible to grab more yeast and try pitching it again?

    Yeast starter overflow

I used a stir plate with my yeast starter for the first time. It was fine all day yesterday but I awoke to an overflow. It blew the foam stopper off and lost about 1/8 cup probably just krausen. I'm pretty sure it's still good to pitch today during brewing. Someone please confirm for me lol.

    Overactive yeast

I started a Kolsch yesterday and for the first time used an aeration system before pitching the yeast. I awoke this morning to a hissing sound and what appears to be yeast and foam coming out of my airlock on top. I burped the container and a few minutes later it was doing again. I would...

    Belgian Grains

Is there a big difference between Belgian Special B and Belgian Pale 2 Row? My local shop has the 2 Row, but was looking for the Specail. I can order it but prefer to get it at the local shop.
