    Keg/Carboy Washer

So, decided to build one of these yesterday. Picked up this pump http://www.harborfreight.com/1-horsepower-submersible-dirty-water-pump-with-float-69300.html on sale for $49.99 and as I'm paying for it I get the "do you want to buy the warranty it's $5.99 for one year and you can get it replaced...

Which Plate Chiller Should I Choose ?

No chiller just hose water through 1/2" copper to a 3/4" valve then through the chiller. Only problem is I think it's getting it too cool. I have had much longer lag times on the last couple of brews since I started using the new plate chiller.

Bulk Grain Group Buy (Indianapolis, In)

Aight so Country Malt Group is a no-go they merged with a homebrew supplier and are not currently accepting homebrew customers, they will however consider orders of 40 bags or more. That being said I'm going to try calling Sun King and see if I can work something out with them as I've heard...

Bulk Grain Group Buy (Indianapolis, In)

I'm gonna try calling Country Group today and see what the bulk rate shipping would be to a commercial loading dock. I hook the warehouse manager here at work up with a growler now and again so I'm sure she wouldn't have an issue with me having a pallet shipped here if the cost is low enough. I...

Which Plate Chiller Should I Choose ?

I had the 30 plate chiller from Duda on my rig and *for me* it didn't cool to pitching temps quick enough. So I upgraded to Duda's B3-23A 50 plate chiller which has not only 20 more plates but is about twice as long. By the numbers Duda gives, it's almost 3 times the surface area as compared to...

A crappy brew day is better than a good day doing almost anything else.

So..... yesterday was another brew day here in Indianapolis. For those of you not here or obsessed with the weather channel it was 30ish and we got 4 in of snow. I was pretty excited for this particular brew day because I have just installed an RO system and was taking my first shot at adjusting...

    Kegerator wiring question

That sounds right, what's the make and m/n. I should have some time at work tomorrow, I could take a peek and see what I can find.

    Kegerator wiring question

I agree that it would be very easy to jumper around the thermo, but would warn you to make sure the defrost timer is still in the circuit. That way you reduce the risk of freezing the evap coils and making the thing a luke-warm beer despenser. p.s. check www.appliancepartspros.com they may have...

    Loc-Line colors

I've had one for my BK inlet and have used it for 4 batches. No melting or off flavors that I can detect and I'm not dead yet. That's not to say that it's 100% safe but good enough for me.
