    Stout or Porter?

Hello again guys. I have a question hopefully someone can answer. I just went to the store and threw together some ingredients. Just a big experiment brew. The beer turned out GREAT! However, I'm unsure if it's a porter or a stout since some call their stouts porters and their porters stouts. So...

    Gnats!!!!

I forgot to dispose a blow off bucket a few weeks ago, needless to say there are gnats everywhere! I got rid of the buckets, now they are just laying their gnaty eggs in older beer bottles. Washed those out and now they are trying to cling onto everything and anything that might at one point...

Thin layer of "something" during secondary

It smells fine... just like beer. I tried to take pictures, but it's so thin it's barely noticeable. I'll try again however.

Thin layer of "something" during secondary

Hello again guys! I have yet another question, mainly because I haven't seen this in any of my other brews! I racked one brew into secondary a few weeks ago, first week I began to notice something forming on top. It looks basically just like a glare from the carboy and lights. I looked at it...

Weldless at Home Depot or Lowes?

Just a Weldless fittings questions that I hope someone can answer for me! We have a 15.5 gallon stainless brewpot which we want to add a weldless bulkhead and ball valve to. Is there a parts list out there which I have missed to buy the parts needed at Home Depot or Lowes, or is it better to...

    Bottled, now tasting?

I just opened a beer from one of our brews. We left it in primary for 10 days, transferred it to secondary. When we transferred it to secondary, we decided to test it. It tasted great. We left it in secondary for 2 more weeks, then decided to bottle it. We tasted it again, and once again it...

    Chiller Problem?

Okay, that sounds good. It's a 6 gallon brew. We pitched two Wyeast. I don't believe that much water got into the wort. So I hope those 200 billion yeast can come through for me. Thank you for your help.

    Chiller Problem?

Did another brew tonight and got to the part to use our immersion chiller. We got it down to about 76 degrees and just waiting to get it to 70 and below. Suddenly a hose pops off and some tap water got into the wort... can this cause problems? Any ways to solve the problems if any? Thank you in...
