Names Other Than "Brewery" or "Brewing Company"

If I ever opened a brew pub it would be named something along the line of "Nick's Fine Eatery and Drinkery" Obviously subbing the Nick part, but going along with the theme thus far.

    2011 Hops

I've been checking every few hours this week for everything to go up and even still I missed the Citra this morning :( Oh well, was still able to get some galaxy though :D

    New Zealand Hop Help

I agree completely with this statement. If you want a hoppy beer, don't discount hop bursting! My current house pale uses Galaxy and Citra all added at 15m and 5m left in the boil and it is absolutely fantastic, rave reviews all around.

How should I dry hop my Galaxy Ale?

I make a Citra/Galaxy pale ale that is quite tasty. The two pair to give a very interesting tropical fruit character.

    Brewmasters Warehouse

I wouldn't really call waiting 3 days to ship a bad experience, maybe undesired but wouldn't be enough for me to stop ordering from a vendor. If they got a rush of orders it could have put them a day or two behind. I've run into the same situations with several of the online vendors at one...

    Plate Chiller Advice

The temperature you can achieve in a single pas depends a lot on the temp of the water you are pushing through it. That being said I have the 50 plate model and haven't had a problem getting into the 70's on a single pass. In the summer (when ground water temp is warmer) I just close the...

    1 barrel bright beer tanks

Never had any dealings with these folks, but I've seen a few people on the forum with their kettles and they make a 1 BBL Brite-Tank. Looks like there is a lead time for build out though. http://conical-fermenter.com/products/brite-tanks/ *edit* Looks like noremorse1 had the same line of...

    Kegcowboy.com

To add my two cents: I had a similar experience with KegCowboy.com Ordered a Pump and a plate chiller. Everything showed "InStock" on the site so I figured I should get a tracking number or a shipping confirmation within a week. No dice. Took almost 2 weeks (with me following up via email...

How many batches have you ruined and how??

I've only dumped 2 batches to date thankfully #1 Way too much crystal. I added 3lbs of crystal to an attempt at an Irish red. Came out too cloying and tasted like drinking a toffee bar. A few people claimed to like it, but I think they were just being nice ;) #2 Had a digital...

    Wine Cooler

My wife has brewed a few of the "island mist" wine kits that remind me more of wine coolers than wine. Very fruity and relatively low ABV. I've suggested we start carbonating and serving it from a keg in the future. I would look that route if your looking for something very wine-coolerish.

    Mango Pale Ale thoughts

If you have chinook on hand there's not any reason why you couldn't use it for the first bittering addition, but if you are buying everything anyway, might as well just stick with the single hop. Since your not mashing, no real reason to use pilsner malt for steeping. I'd swap it for...

Recipe for Bud Light Lime clone?

I'll second Biermuncher's recipe. I brewed it as prescribed but subbed in the San Francisco lager strain (similar lager characteristics at ale temps). With a lime in it I was very much reminded of a corona with lime or a bud light lime, but still a marked improvement over either. Not...

Viability of a GF malt supplier

colorado malting company is doing something like this with malting locally grown millet. They seem to be doing this as a feasibility test in the colorado market. If it's successful I imagine it will become a regular offering.
