Hey all. So to date I’ve done no more than 2 gallons at time. I’m thinking of stopping up to 5 in the beer future. Can I use throes 5 gallon jugs of water as fermenter?

So I know typically we’re supposed to use pop cap bottles but if we’re reusing bottles can we use old screw top bottles? Or do the caps not hold right?

I've been reading some stuff on other forums and advised that secondary fermentation really isn't needed in homebrewing. What are others thoughts here? Trying to decide if I want to follow suit and not do the secondary and just leave it at one just running it a little longer.

So on another board I mentioned I was going to order a Cream Ale from Brewers Best. Instead I decided to go with a Chocolate Stout. It's a regular Chocolate Stout not the Chocolate Milk Stout. I've had an idea to make it Chocolate Cherry Stout, trying for something like the Chocolate Covered...

So I'm looking at getting a wort chiller before my next batch so I don't have to do an ice bath in my kitchen sink. Problem is my faucet has a retractable hose as the primary water output. Is there some sort of adapter I can get to use with a wort chiller?

So I've see a few posts mention an app and I see wording about one in settings. Is there an app that I can use to access the site from my phone? Other than an obvious web browser?

I don't have the recipe so if this is the wrong place please let me know and I'll repost in the correct. Does anyone have a clone recipe for Sam Adams Dark Larger? It's a seasonal for them and only available in one pack and you only get two. I was hoping to make one myself throughout the year.

When starting out has anyone used Brewer's Best kits? I just brewed a kit from another vendor, but I'm curious about this brand and how their product is.

I've tried my hand at cider and wine a few times and had some decent results. Got a few more of those going as well as mead. I did my first small batch of beer over the weekend an Irish Red, can't wait till that's ready to drink. Still looking to learn more and improve my skills and knowledge.

So I made an attempt at a mulled hard cider. It's not bad I do need to adjust some ratios still to get it right. But for some reason it leaves a hint of plastic on the back end. Not sure could something be wrong with equipment or my recipe. Has this happened to anyone else?
