should i add some carapils to my grain bill with 7.7% of the grist being flaked rye (from a foam stability & added body standpoint, not flavor)? thoughts?

Has anybody brewed an ESB with the Gambrinus ESB malt as a base malt? I noticed the lovibond is 3-4, as compared to 1-2 (roughly) for regular two row. I'm looking for a maltier ESB recipe, and was looking at an alternative to using Maris Otter for my ESB base malt.

i forgot priming sugar last week at the homebrew shop and didnt realize it until i drove 1.5 hrs home. i've never used light or dark brown sugar for priming, but have read several recipes over the years that call for it, over regular priming sugar (like in ESB's, Porters, Stouts. yada yada...
