    Process value incorrect ???

Hello all it's been awhile, I have a auber syl-2352 I have been using it for about 5 years. I was brewing yesterday and the process value was reading screwy, as the temp of the mash went up the PV went down. Any suggestions to why this is happening would be apperciated. Thanks, Pat

    Breakers in control panel ?

The water man speaks, my current panel has no breakers,it runs the pump, rims tube and pid. I am buliding a new panel box and conveting to all electric with 220v elements, I will put the breakers in there but wanted some input before I get started. Thanks, Pat

    List of PJ Electrical Diagrams

Thanks PJ, The reason I have three elements and a rims tube is because I am retrofitting my gas system to electric and I have already welded the fittings to my kegs. Here is a picture of it with temporary wiring until I build a new control panel.

    List of PJ Electrical Diagrams

PJ, I was wondering if you had time to help me with one of your drawings? I have three 4500w 240v elements hlt, mash, boil, I also have a 120v element in my rims tube but I could change it to 240v if it would be better/easier to wire. I would like to use a pid(1ea)on the boil and rims. For the...

Electric up grade to gas/rims system ?

Stilbeer, I'll be honest I didn't know any better. I was very impressed with how well it worked in the water tests I did, 8 gallons from 54 degrees to 170 in 25 minutes. I heat my house with propane it costs me $600.00 a month to heat my house to 62 degrees !

Electric up grade to gas/rims system ?

I welded the fittings to my three vessel and temporarily wired them until I make a new control panel, I wont be using the boil until I add the second PID. The elements are 4500w 240v I did some water test and it worked great...wish I had done this from the start.

Electric up grade to gas/rims system ?

Thanks augiedoggy, I was thinking the same thing about the density, I built my system a long time ago so I thought my memory might be slipping.

Electric up grade to gas/rims system ?

Thanks hio3791, I have a pid controller on my rims tube, I think I will have to make a new control box to fit in more pids.

Electric up grade to gas/rims system ?

Really, I thought the high density would cause scorching ? I have a ultra low density element in my rims tube for just that reason, or so I thought. Any other suggestion from you electric Gurus ?

Electric up grade to gas/rims system ?

I want to add electric heating elements to my system (propane cost is crazy right now). I will weld sanitary fittings to the lower area of the kegs, that should be no problem, the issue is how do you keep from scorching in the boil PID controller and low density elements ? Thanks Pat

HopRocket, chiller plate, sanitary clamp up grade

Bairdo, Thanks for the complements, I do not use a prefilter and have never had it plug. I think the max amount of hops (whole leaf) I use is three oz's, more than that and they get packed to tight. Pat
