    I am trying to move up in the world and am replacing my old Ale Pails. As much as I would love to go stainless I have to stick with plastic. Does anyone have experience with the other plastic options: Speidel, Fast ferment, etc. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Can I use Cider with potassium sorbate?

    I was not paying attention and bought cider with potassium sorbate "added for freshness." Is this enough to halt fermentation or are the commercial concentrations too low to make a difference?

    How about a math question? If I want a five gallon full boil, how much water do I actually start with? Is late malt extract still a good idea?

    I have heard much about converting recipes between the styles, including computer programs, problem is I have a Mac. Anyone know a good Mac program? Are there any resources on the equations that I can just do the math, probably as fast since I cannot type.

    Sorry about the lack of response, I just got home from work. Thanks for all of the great info. Where can I get info to learn how to partial mash. Someone asked what kind of beer I like to give more specifics. My favorites are IPA's, Porters, ESB's and some Belgians.

    Pitching Two Different Yeasts

    I am making a Simcoe IPA Extract Kit which includes Munton's Gold 6g. and I have an extra regular Muntons yeast 6g. Can I pitch them both without ill effect? I also have a Safbrew S-33 11g. Will I get a fermentation or flavor difference.
