    I am primarily a beer and cider maker. I have never made wine before. I was just given 5 gallons of Catawba juice and 6 gallons of Niagra. I know that as cider ferments to it driest state it strips out much of the apple flavor. Will the same happen with Niagra and Catawba juice? I am trying...

    I want to make a Belgian wit and have lots of rahr red wheat malt. Can I use that? Is there a difference between that and white wheat malt?

    carboy cleaner

    I was just given a 6.5 carboy. It had ammonia in it. Theree is a brown line sidde of it that I cannot remove. It looks like someone poured Iodaphor into it. I can't for the life of me get it off.     Beersmith Question

    I have two recipies that are exactly the same except for the boil time. One is at 60 minutes and one is at 90. They both give me the same estimated preboil volume. It is the same if I have the the calc boil box checked or unchecked. What am I missing here? Thanks

    Northern brewer has a new kit out in their "store wars". In the brewer notes is says that you can add in the zest of two oranges. If you were to add in dried orange peel how much would that be? I'm figuring maybe a 1/2 ounce. Does that sound correct? Thanks

    Temperature???

    I have two of my six hop plants in 20 gallon containers on my deck. My deck will easily reach 100 degrees in July as the sunlight reflect of my patio doors and windows. Is this going to be too hot for them?

    Can I dry hop now?

    Hope this is in the right forum. I recently made a cream ale extract and was not happy because it was too hoppy. I cut the hops back on the last batch that I made but now there isn't enough hop flavor/bitterness. Can I let the pressure off the keg and still add some hops for flavor/aroma? Thanks
