    Robobrew V3 - I should have waited

I work at my LHBS and the owner told us all the minimum price of $479 is set by the manufacturer and if we sold them for cheaper or discounted then and they found out about it they wouldn't sell us anymore Robobrews.

    Robobrew V3 - I should have waited

That's probably the version without the pump. Robobrews are MAP priced which basically means the manufacturer sets a price and you can't sell the units for cheaper than that. That's why they're $479 almost everywhere.

Help with my analogue temp controller

I turned the fridge to the coldest setting and straightened the capillary tube out as best I could. It seems to be cooling now. I'll chech tomorrow and see if it's at the right temperature. Thanks!

    sugar for priming keg

I've never used sugar to carbonate in a keg but when I bottle I use 5oz per 5 gallons. What was your bad luck with CO2?

Help with my analogue temp controller

I recently bought this mini fridge someone converted into a kegerator to use for a fermentation chamber. I was planning on using an inkbird like everyone else but he threw in this Johnson Controls temp controller at no extra cost. So I hooked it up and put a bucket of water in, set the...

maybe too much Starsan in my keg

When I keg the beer pushes most of foam out of the keg and on to my floor, I got wise and use a plastic tote now. Were you not filling the keg from the bottom? I wouldn't dump it just because of some star san foam. I always leave it in my carboys and kegs and haven't had any issues.

    Kegging Equipment

Best to just replace all the o rings on your kegs right away. They can absorb soda flavors and make your beer taste a bit off. A new set costs only a few dollars.

Floating white clumps (mold?) in my carboy - with Pics

It could be the yeast itself. Sometimes it clumps up and floats around especially if you pitched from a starter and let it flocculate for a few hours. People post these threads all the time and it's almost never mold.

Any way to securely connect tubing of wort chiller to this faucet ? Help!

I live an apartment and had a similar problem. I remove my shower head and connect my chiller there with a fitting from the hardware store. Works great!

Fermenting w/ blow-off tube first vs airlock immediately

Might want to consider using a two gallon fermenter, the added head space will minimize beer lost to blow off.

Beginner IPA ideas / recipes / best kits

For a simple set up you'll need a kettle capable of boiling at least 2.5 to 3 gallons for about an hour. A SS stock pot and your kitchen stove will work fine but eventually you'll want to upgrade to full volume boils and a propane burner. Boiling all your wort at once will give you better hop...

Pouring glasses of foam, Don't know where I went wrong.

After burping a few days and and not finding any more leaks, outgassing seems to be the problem. It never occurred to me to pour another pint right after a glass full of foam but the 2nd one is near perfect. So to correct this I should burp for a few more days, right? Raising the serving...

Hops in French Press for DryHopping

That's a pretty cool idea! Never heard of it done before but there's only 1 way to find out!

Is 47 degrees too cold for fermentation to start?

Why not get a temp controller and a carboy cap with a thermal well? Then the fridge will only run until it gets down to whatever temp you set it at.

    New kettle and chiller cleaning?

I wouldn't use dish soap on anything you brew with, it can leave behind a residue that doesnt taste very nice. I would give them both a good rinse, then a nice long soak in PBW and another good rinsing.

    New to this, some questions

#8 Usually I fill my bottles right up to the brim so that when I remove my bottle filler there is about an inch of head space left. I always get good carbonation and minimal if any oxidation with this method.
