I was wondering if a Shirron plate or a Thermonator could be used as a heat exchanger in a mash system? Thoughts?

When I first learned to brew, it was accepted that just pouring the wort into the fermentor aerated the wort. If you listen to Brewstrong, they always talk about aeration with oxygen or pump. So....... How do you aerate your wort?

Lately I have been fermenting for 4 days at 66-68, then letting the ale pale sit at room (73f) for the remainder of 2wks.... results have been great: dry, crisp beer! does anyone see a problem with this?

Just wrapping up a LONG brew day... I'm cold, tired and SWMBO may be a little irritated. However, I just scored 91% efficiency on a double decoction so I'm in pretty good mood. Should I expect this type of efficiency with decoctions in the future?
