    Keezer Temp problem

Removing the controller to turn it into a freezer didn't work. I thawed it out overnight and reset it to 50f. Still not down to 50 and the ice is forming again. Is it possible to add freon to a freezer? My brother thought they lacked a connection and you had to install a fitting like...

    Keezer Temp problem

Great idea. I remove the controller for the day tomorrow when I can keep an eye on it. I was thinking it might need more freon as well or perhaps the outside unit is dirty and needs cleaning. Thanks

    Keezer Temp problem

Hello, Keezer has worked great for years but. I cleaned it the other day and put in fresh sanke tap connection for some NC craft brew. Squeaky clean and only one keg at this time. Temp controller is set for 40 but is only getting down to 51-54. Meanwhile it has formed a thin wedge of...

Cold Break Removal Idea: Low tech, works great

I know you say no problems so far but I would lose sleep worrying about contamination from the 16 hour settle.. too much time for bugs to start growing. Just saying, I worry.. :)

    Foodsaver v2040

Not really a classified. Feel free to move it but this seems like a good deal for a food saver... It came in my buy.com flyer today. 59.99 with free shipping. http://www.buy.com/prod/foodsaver-v2040-vacuum-sealer-kit-w-tilia-foodsaver-gallon-size-bags/q/loc/66357/209000351.html?adid=17654

    Thanks Yooper!

I was surprised too! I entered it mainly for feedback. It is a favorite in the house and always goes quick. Fingers, I did not lager it. I fermented it at 62F if I remember correctly and dialed it up to 64F after about 3-4 days when activity slowed down. Kept it in primary for probably 14...

    Thanks Yooper!

It was the AG version. I think exactly as Yooper's recipe except for Nottingham dry yeast. Unfortunately I emptied the keg getting the bottles for the competition. I may have one bottle stowed away.

    Thanks Yooper!

I brewed your "Dead Guy Clone" https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f66/dead-guy-clone-extract-ag-see-note-25902/ and took 1st place in the bock category and it doesn't show up but also made it to 3rd in Best of Show. I think the only change I made was Dry Yeast but I'll have to go back and check my...

Want to buy: Digital Conversion Thermostat

I'd love to see a picture of one of these all wired up... I'm using a Ranco for my 1650W HLT but would like to get one of these and use the Ranco for my temperature controlled fridge for fermentation. Edit: would I need an SSR for a 1650 or 2000 watt 110 volt heating element?

    Crash Chill too long?

Hello, I have a Bass clone that I put in the fridge to crash chill and expected to keg it after 3 days or so. Fast forward to an unexpected trip out of town and it will be in the fridge for about 12-14 days before I am home to keg it. I think it will be fine but wondered what you think...
