    What? I've poured boiling wort into a flask a billion times, and then promptly dunked it in an ice bath to cool it. Never had it volcano.

    the 120 was fantastic. although half a bottle got me blitzed. I like the 60 better than the 90, but the 120 better than the 60 or 90..

    It's a yeast energizer. Like Servomyces(sp?). It's yeast hulls (dead yeast) and some other ingredients to speed up fermentation. They're 1.09/ea or 6 for 5.99

    I think google. Although I don't recall. I certainly spend more time on greenboard (it's the first board I signed up on)... but this one seems to be more active as of lately! Plus I've met Sudster and homebrewer_99 off here, both fine gentlemen!

    Oxygen injection, What's the verdict?

    That's probably a bit over-zealous. I remember reading (can't recall where now) that no more than 10s of pure 02 is needed for 5 gallons of wort. Anything over "X PPM" (whatever X was) only slowed the yeast down from their aerobic stage... It's a bit hazy to me since I haven't brewed in half...

    Oxyclen Residue - how to remove?

    You may need to brush that stuff out. I left oxyclean solution in a small spray bottle I had and it encrusted up so bad I tossed it out. It also ruined the pump on the spray nozzle..

    Stupid Effing POPPET!

    So I got 6 kegs from RCB. I rebuilt one, new orings on the lid and the posts (5 orings total per keg)... I clean it, toss beer in it and seal it. The lid leaks a bit.. ok nothing new I've dealt with that on my other kegs. Flipped the lid around.. nope.. a day later the keg has no pressure...

    Choices

    The 4911/4912 will fit 2 soda kegs and a 5lb co2 tank if you arrange it right. As far as door taps, yeah they're cheaper. Even cheaper yet is cobra taps. No drilling! ;) Nothing is sexier than a tower tap with a nice tap handle and seal forward faucet, though.

    Bad starter, I think I really screwed it up this time!

    This method is known as cold pitching. Check it out. Works just fine. (Fridge to fermenter with little to no warm up).

    Timing of the Starter

    Kreusen smhmeusen. I let mine ferment until it stops, toss it in the fridge till I need it. I then decant off as much a liquid as i possibly can, swirl the crap out of the yeast cake and dump it in my fermenter cold. There's a great number of resources on cold pitching.. check 'em out.
