    Using coffee in mead

Hmm I'll keep that in mind. I cold brew every once in a while and have made some that aren't super bitter but still have a nice coffee flavor so I might stick with the medium roast bean I have at the house. I live coffee porters and stouts and like brewing mead so I started thinking about it

    Lactose in mead?

Found a meaderies close to my area, about an hour and a half away that makes an orange and lactose mead so pretty much a Creamsicle flavor. I haven't tried it yet cause I haven't been back there since it was released only a couple weeks ago. So it's definitely doable

    Using Irish moss

I was looking online and see that some of the ancient style recipes use it but from what else I saw is that, like what you said was a clarifying agent.

Recently aquired some more honey to make some more batches and was thinking about picking up some Irish moss. Anyone have any tips for it or how you like to use it with the mead?
