Toppling Goliath pseudoSue - Can you clone it?

Yeah! I got a bottle of Aurox, was a ton of fun. I haven't been up there so often since I started working from Des Moines a couple months ago, but they make some great beer - I couldn't miss that release! I took a growler of my most recent NEIPA. Influenced by @braufessor 's big NEIPA thread...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

From some of his posts, OP is from NE Iowa, so he is able to get a constant flow of Toppling Goliath and pulpit rock, @Braufessor - you able to get some of that double dry hopped psuedo-sue that was announced today? I went up last monday for the first time on a whim and was able to get some...

Basically what lilbova3 said above. In his "Some Other Thoughts" section of "Fermenting Under Pressure": "Pre-fermentation additions of Galaxy in the London Ale III beer (I chose this for its higher total oil content vs. Citra) seems to be working out extremely well for me. I may have to...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Brewed my second iteration of this recipe. First time with citra/mosaic/galaxy combo. After drinking Julius, Haze, Lights On, and Alter Ego tonight this one holds up really well. One thing I did a little differently was add an ounce of citra and galaxy before adding yeast per Scott Janish's...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I actually based the grist of this beer off of the homebrewtalk Trillium Melcher Street Clone. As I used a different hop schedule I figured this thread would be more appropriate. Thanks for the info!

Thanks, I didn't have access to my brun water file and I just checked and it is actually 60:120 SO4:Cl - not sure why I thought it was so high and opposite. Definitely will cut the dextrose either in half or eliminate it next time

Toppling Goliath pseudoSue - Can you clone it?

Beers turned out extremely enjoyable, oddly the citra version turned out slightly hazier than the amarillo (pictured is the citra, homebrewtalk is having issues loading the amarillo). The citra is the winner here although I'm still going to pick up the real deal whenever I see a bomber (wish I...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Just tapped my keg of my beer based off this recipe and the Melcher St Clone thread. Went with Simcoe, Amarillo, Citra hops, calling it my Big SAC NE DIPA. Grain Bill: 71.1% 2 Row (found out my homebrew store only sells avangard which is 3 SRM so slightly darker than I anticipated) 11.9%...

Toppling Goliath pseudoSue - Can you clone it?

I had a taste at Alluvial last weekend, really delicious stuff. Also have a growler of golden nugget that I'm going to compare with a fairly fresh Florida can tonight.

Brewed this up with honey malt and flaked barley 5/23 with a small twist - did 3 gal of citra and 3 gal of amarillo! In the dry hop keg now, will transfer to serving kegs tonight and carbonate. Also just picked up a couple bombers of the DDH PsuedoSue - can't wait to do a side by side

It's Finally Done: My 10-tap Keezer!

@splendidus Your procedure seems pretty solid. Last week I found my 20# CO2 tank was empty (bought from craigslist 2 months ago - told it had "just" been filled). Took off all fittings and found one of my JG fittings on my 2 way regulator had a crack in it. Now my fingers are crossed that the...

It's Finally Done: My 10-tap Keezer!

Great information! I am about to build a 4 tap keezer following @shemp 's instructions (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=517311); however, I accidentally bought a bunch of beer line that is 3/16" ID x 7/16" OD. As there are no 7/16" john guest fittings and I would imagine it would...

To The New Brewer - Extract Or All Grain

I started brewing in May, and my 6th beer is currently fermenting. As Stranman said, I began with extract to test my likeness to brewing. I'm trying to brew as many different styles as I can during my first year or so and really learn the basics. I just wired up a chest freezer with a...
