My latest flight board...
Res oak, brass-pinned "handle" - ebony stain on the handle, walnut on the "guard" and left the "blade" natural - has enough poly on it to use a mark and wipe to allow writing the tap numbers directly on it.
I learned it helps if you are making beer to wear a spiffy brewing jacket with skulls on it. Also, it helps a lot to say "BOOM" when doing any hop additions
not sure what got to them, but diatomaceous earth is your friend - takes out most every nasty there is and no bed side-effects - kinda like star-san for hops, dont fear the flakes
Had an inspiration to do a little garage time...
The bottle caps (set is numbered 1-9) have magnets glued on the back and I inset a small steel washer on the board, makes for easy identification of what was what with multiple taps.

I have not had much luck with the coffee filter process, the sediment tends to clog the filter quickly creating the "stuck sparge" effect pretty rapidly. Done quite a few batches and my best clarity has come with the method I mentioned above, by the way, when I'm racking off, I'm using a very...
I have been getting MUCH less sediment to deal with by letting the things rest for a day or two after pulling the rice, then carefully re-rack or bottle with a small siphon so I don't disturb what has settled.
Prototype label for a recently brewed Moose Drool Clone. (Yes, I'm aware of the typo) - that is exactly why I prototype a label prior to making a run of them!)
