    Cool thanks for all the advice. Paps. The higher abv the better other wise I'll just make apple juice. And I'm not a sweet kinda guy. So I'll go slow and sample after I ad pomegranate. The only reason I'm adding pomegranate is my wife tried one at a tap room and said make that.

    Yoops all cascade apa is my house beer. I have brewed it 8times. Brewing it again Sunday. I have changed up the dry hop and late additions (depends if I have any stray hops laying around). It is a sure hit every time

    I am Confused!

    I have had success washing yeast, tutorial here.but what I find I do most often is buy a tube of fresh yeast, make a 2l starter crash it. decant and split it into 2 ,now save one and make a starter for my brew,now I have aprox the same amount in my fridge for next brew.then I do it again works...

    Im sure if you brew beer then you drink beer!! start saving the bottles you buy, they are made of the same glass and you already pay for them full of beer(in most states), why buy empty ones when you can enjoy the contents of full ones, clean them and soak in star san good as new

    my simple rule of thumb is.... 1 vile to 1l makes 1.5 viles...1 vile to 2l makes 2 viles...so when I buy yeast I make a 2l starter,cool, decant and split into 2(should equal the amount of 1 vile in each) then I make my usual 2l starter for my next brew day.(I also harvest but that's a different...

    notes are a good thing! I have a journal of every beer I have done except one! (big drinking brew day) that one beer came out great and I have tried to make it again and never get it the same close but not the same! good luck and welcome to the hobby

    Did I mention we all have different ways of doing things, find what works for you and do it that way. I personally dry hop in a keg in a bag never had any problems, but I might be getting lucky, some have had issues so they do it a different way, neither is a wrong way
