I know this is a late post, but do you wish you had done a 2" tube rather than a 1.5"? I have been debating a RIMS build and had several people tell me they wish they had done a two inch tube. Thoughts?

Guys, When installing dip tubes, valves, and thermowells in your kegles, do you use teflon or any other type of sealing tape? I'm concerned about the effect boil temperatures will have on the tape. Any advice is appreciated. Cheers, Dageaux

If you fill your sink with water, add a cup or two of household ammonia, and let the bottles soak for a bit, the labels will peal right off. You can then just rinse them off, sanitize, and fill. They do not need to soak long.

I'm building a boil kettle. Unless I've misunderstood something, I don't understand how you would arrange a burner if using a bottom drain? Have any pics? thanks

Any thoughts on how far above the absolute bottom I should install my drain nipple, and what size nipple (3/8, 1/2, 3/4, etc.)? Also, what should I do for an internal pickup tube?
