I have been out of town for a very long time and am not able to transfer my Honey Brown to my keg. The SG was 1.050 and it will be sitting in the primary for about 40-45days at 68F. Am I ok here or will I have some problems with this beer?

Is it possible to take all of my gravity readings with a refractometer? Or is this something I just should use for the the mash and OG....I tried a search for this(since Im sure this has been covered) but couldnt find much. Thanks, Slappy

I have soaked my BB and vigorously shook the BB with a cleaning solution, but cannot get every bit of the sediment off of the side. I don't want to use a brush and run the risk of scratching the BB, so what should I do about that....just keep repeating the process or is there a better way...

I have been using 5 gallon carboys as secondaries, but have decided to do away with secondaries. Can I use the 5 gallon carboys as primaries with a blow off or will they not be large enough for that. Thanks, Slappy:mug:

I have a couple Muntons Ale yeast packets lying around and was wondering if I should use a packet along with the quality yeast that I will be using. Are there any positive things that could come from this, or is this completely pointless? Thanks, Slappy

Never have really thought about it, but are you supposed to scrape the residue that is left in the brew pot after the wort foams up back into the wort. I never do this, but realize that I might should be doing. I have gotten some good beers lately so I'm guessing its not that big of a deal...

Finally got my first keg carbed...tastes great and is properly carbed. After I finish off the keg how do I clean the outlet hose and the cobra tap? or do I just switch it to a different keg that I have ready?

I bought a Belgian White kit from my LHBS and it comes with the Muntons Ale yeast...I bought the WLP400 Belgian Wit Yeast to use instead of the Muntons...Should I just use the Muntons also...just pitch it the same time as the WLP400 or should I pitched them at different times...or just forget...

Got a porter that has been in the primary for three weeks. Just ordered a kegging system that won't be here for 2-3...Should I just wait it out or will 6 weeks on the yeast cake be too long?
