    #gainabeardloseabelly

"Movember" is coming up. Asking gentlemen to grow a mustache to help promote men's health, but why not take it a bit further! Weight is a huge factor in health, so (even though I don't tweet) I came up with the #gainabeardloseabelly hashcrap to maybe get all of us men into a weight loss mood...

    Clear, low ABV GF beer?

Any recipes out there? I found another GF drinker and she liked BL Lime. Is there something light that she can add her own lime to?

How will this effect OG? Bugs!

Got an order of 10 lbs. rice malt this evening. After putting the wife to bed I opened the bag and instantly knew I forgot to order it milled. Trying to come up with some way to get it milled so I can start a brew tomorrow, I break out a rolling pin. Reach in the bag and grab a very small...

    Taste--Bottled-Vs-Kegged

When I first started brewing my own beer, I immediately jumped into kegging. My first two extracts had a sweet taste to them, but because I didn't take a FG reading, I attributed it to not allowing it to finish out. Then I read about the dreaded 1.020 and made sure on the next few batches to...

Clean keg even though adding same beer?

Anyone not clean their keg when putting the same beer back in? About to kick one and have another finishing in the fermenter that will takes its place. Same beer that is in there now will go back in. Just curious.

Drank my first IPA ever this evening.

It was a commercial beer. Born on date of the first week of August. After all of the reading on here about them, I knew I would have to give one a try. WhyTF do you guys drink these? Hops are ok, but I don't want the whole rabbit (joke from the "weirdest thing you've hear about beers"...

    Two, exactly the same batches....

...and one of them doesn't have any activity after three days. Both brewed within hours of eachother. Only thing I can think is it was the first batch and I sanitized my spoon that I used to stir/hydrate the yeast using Star San. After a couple of seconds, I started stirring. There is always...

    Add on HBT...weirding me out.

This picture is weirding me out. Don't know why. Never really paid attention to the message of the add until I was about to post this thread. Just, she keeps looking at me! Bottom of every page. (don't look down)

    I did it.

Nothing more gratifying than accomplishing something on your own. Tonight, it was getting liquored up on my own beer! I kegged my first gluten free Honey Ale last weekend. I cold crashed it, racked to keg and then shook the heck out of it and let it sit at 10 psi @ 38° all week and tonight...

    Pueblo, Colorado CO2 Refill

Thought I would post this up here just in case anyone else in the area is looking for a place to refill a tank and not go through the exchange process that most of the bigger companies in the area require. HBT was one of the first sites to show up while googling when looking for a place to get...

    Wife OK'd a keezer...

...and I need some help with the faucet side of things. Where's a good place to buy from? Anything out there that I should completely stay away from?

    How's it look?

This is my first batch out of the fermenter and into the keg. Second one to brew, but since the first was a lager, still sitting in primary. Honey Ale - Gluten Free.

    Best place for Keg tubing?

My pin lock fittings are 1/4" barbed. Should I just ebay some food grade line?

    US-05 Temps

Upstairs is anywhere from 70-75° while downstairs usually stays around 62°. Where would you keep your fermentation?

New guy. Could use some help.

Hello, everyone. First time poster, short time reader. But, it was this site that helped me find what I was looking for. As a previous Coors Light drinker, now converted GF drinker, I found myself in quite the conundrum. A GF beer that I would like. I was picky with my CL and wouldn't...
