    When to lager

I made 11 gallons of an Oktoberfest using extract. Using a yeast calculator I made 2 yeast starters that were stepped up to get what I thought was enough active warriors. I split between 2 carboys and started fermenting at 54 degrees. OG was 1.051, after about 2 weeks one of them was down to...

    International Homebrew Shipping

I'm getting married in Mexico! My soon to be SWMBO and I are renting a Villa there for the wedding and reception. I would love to serve some of my homebrew there, but I don't know if I can ship it there. Does anyone know if it's possible to ship a couple corny kegs across the border? RCJH

    FG and secondary questions.

I brewed a 10 gallon full boil stout using extract. OG was 1.066, I split it into 2 carboys, one using 1098 yeast, the other 1084. I used 2 smack packs per carboy (don't do yeast starters yet). One month later, after no airlock activity for a long time, I moved to secondary (2 carboys again)...

    Should I pitch more yeast?

I brewed the Pliny clone from Northern Brewer 10 days ago. I used the dry yeast option (US-05). The krausen has came and gone several days ago. I have seen recommendations to double up on the yeast for this kit if you are using dry yeast. I have another packet of US-05, should I pitch it or...

Did I ruin my Blichmann floor burner?

I had a boil over that got all over my Blichmann floor burner. I had the idea of soaking it upside down in PBW to clean it out. After soaking over night I rinsed it off real well, and dried it. The casing is now nice and shiny, but the burners now look rusty and clogged. Is this thing now...
