    harr.. Paint strainer for BIAB

I thought I could use a "5 gallon paint stainer bag" as a bag for BIAB... but to my great surprise, 5 gallon is not the size of the bag! The bag is smaller.. it's like the half of the size of a carboy (so 2-3 gallon). :( I suppose I'm on my own to make a diy BIAB grain bag out of a piece of...

Victory and Chaos IPA - Rev. 1

This recipe was originally taken from John Palmer's book "How To Brew", but I made some minor changes (or accidently made some..hehe.. hence;Rev.1). It has some mild sweetness coming from the crystal malt and a nice hoppy flavour. It's hard to describe in words.. Basically, I prefer this beer...

Anyone use 2 pots for boiling wort?

I currently shopping for a brew pot for extract brewing (see link)... but I saw that some of you are using 2 smaller pots, instead of only a big one, for boiling. I suppose the recipe is split in half, but is it a challenge to manage two wort at the same time? (Steeping, Timing, Cooling..)...

diy Fermentation chiller using PIC 16F877A

Here's my fermentation chiller. The construction of the box is based on the 38dd fermentation chiller by J. Thornton. However, instead of using the regular thermostat, I built my own. Now I could simply use a comparator circuit to trigger a relay, but I really wanted a programmable thermostat...

I was looking for fruit extract for beer and this caught my attention: Flavor Oils, Nature's Flavors : Pure Fruit Flavor Oil They says it's more concentrated than the actual fruit extract and the flavor is 60 000 times stronger than the fruit itself. Sounds like the cheap alternative to the...
