    Kolsch recipe

    3pounds light gold malt 3 pounds pilsner malt Steeped some honey malt before adding extract 1/4 cup o wheat for body Added 2 oz whole leaf Saaz hops at beginning boil 1 oz liberty at 15 mins before end of boil. Will be ready on sunday. Thoughts on my recipe?

    2 malt extracts for kolsch

    Thinking about doing a kolsch with 2 malts. 3lb Gold and 3lb pilsner malt extract. It sounds good in my head. Followed by 0.25ish pounds of a wheat dried malt and then hops, yadda yadda. Thoughts as far as the 2 malts for a kolsch style?

    beer losing flavor after time

    ice bath at end of fermentation

    I got a tip from a local brewer that giving your primary fermenter a nice ice bath the night before or a couple hours before bottling will settle the sediment to the bottom and its easier to control.
