    IBU and "Apparent bitterness" too high

    I own this book as well. Love the design and have the scottish ale, saison and wheat recipes in the bottle carbonating. I have the same complaint as you, I put the pale ale recipe into https://brewgr.com/homebrew-recipe-calculator and the IBU's were off the charts. I think the grain bill is ok...

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

    Just bottled 5 gallons of this. Aged for 3 months, oranges dropped at about 2.5 months. Tastes great! I will keep several bottles for 6 mths to a year to see how it tastes then.

    FlyGuy's T-siphon: a $3 replacement for an autosiphon

    I made one of these a few weeks ago using Flyguy's instructions. Used it last Saturday to transfer my scotch ale to secondary. Worked like a charm, even with the mouthful of sanitizer! Thanks!!!
