    What mini fridge for kegerator?

It seems like the search threads come up with "no longer sold" units when I refer to lowes/depot/walmart. I need a small fridge for cornies out on my deck/grill...the height limits are 33"...I'm not real concerned about a tower out the top. It will be under a countertop, which is 18.5" deep...

    Wiring switch to march pump..problem

I've grown tired of plugging, and unplugging the pump, so I bought a switch and housing and went to town. Problem now is it's throwing the breakers after a few seconds of running...it does come on however. The switch is a heavy duty rated for 120v. All the wires are matched proper as well. oh...

Starter has been on hold...for awhile

I made a kolsch starter back on 10-6. After 5 days ferm in the erlyn. I moved it to the fridge cause the weater was awful for brewing. It's still in there, and now 10-21 ! the bigger prob is it's only capped with aluminum and rubber band. Should I decant and reboot this stuff, or just go...

    secondary lager in keezer?

My german lager is done with the D-rest, and is time for the real low temps. I can only achieve this in my keezer, and only have room for cornies. Can I rack this to a keg with some residual yeast, and let it rest in there for a month or so ....without gas? If so, do I need to rig an...

Bmunchers C3c gone to leak !!

Biermunchers Cream of three was just at its prime. completely settled out. I started having it with family, and bbq get together. I even had clients calling asking it I could bring a round to them when I came for work!! It was really ripe, and a damn good recipe at that. Today, I checked on...

    Lager yeast...can I make a steam w/it?

I bought a WLgerman lager, and WLpilsner lager vials about a month back, and have some questions before I do something with them. Right now, I'm not quite set up to take the lagering temps into the 50's, but I can hold them around 65-70. I'm wondering if I can get a decent batch of beer from...

I was wondering when these were going to show up, and today I found them chewing. Crushed all I could find before going off to work, and came home to find another handful here and there to crush. I know these things are going to mass produce in the next 2 weeks to the point of uncontrollable...

    Keggle bulkhead...which is best?

I seen a Keggle for sale at a LHBS, and the bulkhead was welded so the spighot pipe was under the false bottom (going in on a straight horizontal), rather than a few inches above the false bottom, and then having a 90deg. elbow going through the center of it to siphon below it. In your...

With my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd AG batches, I began to make yeast starters for the first time. Probably shouldn't have while Newly going AG, , but after reading about theKick it provides, I thought it couldn't hurt Is it really possible for a 1.53/4 gal starter to finish out an Ed Worts Bavarian...

    Sparge water question

After the Mash rest of said temp, Am I suppose to add the hot hot water BEFORE first runoff ? I've just emptied the MTL of it's original liquid, put that in the boil kettle, and THEN add required sparge water on the grain bed to hit the 170f . Is this proper, or ?

    How much campden to rack?

I'll Rack some white wine out with my new filter/pump, and am curious how many tablets are ness. for having 5.5 gal---I'll leave the last 1/2gal with clearing agents behind. It's 4 months old, and I really should get it in bottles soon, so I figured to clear it with the pump ....let it sit...

1st AG red with big gravity

For my first AG, I chose the American Red recipe I found from a member here. I had the exact WLyeast it called for washed in the fridge, so I made a 1000ml erlynmeyer starter 2 days prior, and went for it. Now I had tested the MLT for heat before doing this, and it held temps great, and I...
