    wort chilling

    I do not have a wort chiller . Will i get off flavors for not cooling fast enough? i leave my hops in the wort . i feel like i get extra ibu's because of this. any comments would be appreciated. :mug:

    Cheapest fermenters!

    I bought twenty 4G buckets with lids for 20$ from the recycle center. The buckets are food safe and white. I also bought 20 3 piece airlocks from the local brew shop. So now i have plenty of fermenting room 80g for 35$.

    thermometer tech question

    I left my thermometer in my mash tun. The thermometer now has quite a bit of condensation inside of it. I'm worried about it getting rusty or something and throwing off the temp. reading. I was thinking about drilling a hole in the glass or on the side? Idk any ideas or should i just leave it...

    Yeast temp american ale 1 & 2

    so i just noticed my fermenters were at 75˚ in my house which is roughly 70˚ i moved them to the basement which is 60˚ will my fermenter temps follow the same pattern and now be 65˚???? im looking for optimal temps , i am using wy east american ale 1 and american ale 2 in...

    made too strong of beer??

    I made a beer that is way to strong . Does any i deas what to do with it? I have 5 gallons of it in a corny keg . It is way to bitter and alcoholic , somewhere in the 150 ibus and 9.5%abv . I was thinking of mixing it with some upcoming beers . Idk all ideas and sugestions would be appreciated...

    Trouble keeping a kony keg more than couple day

    Anybody else have a hard time not staying completely smashed all the time!:tank: this is my new favorite hobby but i dont know if its a productive one , its hard not to have a beer in your hand all day. is this a phase or will it be like this from now on? lol cheer smon:mug:
