What came in the mail for you today?

$75 dollars in Amazon gift cards for my birthday, so I splurged and paid the difference. I'm excited to get my Raspberry Pi set up and brew again.

    Craig's List Wins

Yeah, CL has a ton of old starter kits, but if you're quick you can find the good stuff. The two keggles that I posted about, I just happened to be looking and the guy had posted them 14 minutes before I saw it.

    Diastatic Power of Older Malt

Good morning all. I went to the LHBS the other day and picked up some stuff for my next brew, and the owner said that he was looking to get rid of a bag of Marris Otter that had been sitting around too long. SWMBO looked at me after hearing the price of $45, and told me to get it. The "Best...

    Buying bulk hops?

I buy from NikoBrew.com and they have flat rate shipping. You can buy five pounds of hops and the shipping is the same as if you bought half a pound. :) They usually have a sale here and there, I'm sure it won't be long before they have 2013 crop on sale to make room for 2014!

    Spent Grains

I live on three acres that abuts state conservation land. I just dump my grain in the back yard and the deer will come munch on them if they are fresh in the summer, and they will dig through the snow in the winter to get to them.

Whats the ultimate complement your beer has got?

I took a half gallon of my Belgian Blonde to a brew day whit a few friends who have been brewing a lot more years than I. I told them that it was brewed only a week and a half ago, and it had only been in the keg for a day... It was gone in no time. They both loved it. I was really...
